Sounds are born on the lap. There, on Daniel’s lap, where he cradles his baby, is now a dark, shiny object. It flies, but he caresses the Hang like it’s his other baby. He plays and dances with his arms. And then there’s a swarm of babies crawling towards the glow. There they calm down in a flurry of sound drawings, and then fall asleep. Some fall asleep to hear better, others still want to know where those sounds come from. Babies in a trance.
